Three volunteers for the Palm Springs Art Museum created a nationally distinctive music series for the museum’s 430-seat theater next season by poring over a list of Broadway performers like it was Fantasy Football draft day.
Annenberg Theater Council co-chairs David Zippel and Terri Ketover, and past chairman Tom Truhe each got to blackball one selection by the other council leaders. But there were no feverish debates and few disagreements. There is so much amazing, diverse talent on Broadway these days, the picks all come down to who’s available and who will work for the council’s limited budget.
