Taco Bell wants you to escape to a tropical “Tacoasis” this summer.
The fast-food company is opening “The Bell,” a hotel and resort in Palm Springs this summer, according to a news release Thursday.
The Bell will open its doors for a limited time beginning Aug. 9, the release states.
The announcement appeared to catch city officials off guard, with Assistant City Manager Marcus Fuller saying Thursday morning, “At this point, we’re as surprised as everyone else. At least, I am.”
He said the city reached out to Taco Bell’s parent company, Yum! Brands, for details, but were only told information would be disclosed in a June 21 news release.
